Beaches of South Walton Beaches of South Walton
The Beaches of South Walton offer so much for the guest wanting a quieter vacation destination. Yet there are an abundance of activities geared to all ages. One highlight is our 17 mile fitness/bike path that parallels Scenic 30-A which stretches from Rosemary Beach to Dune Allen Beach. Bring your bikes or rent from one of our bike shops. Along the way you will find many parks and hiking trails. Grayton Beach State Park encompasses some of the most beautiful pristine beaches along the Emerald Coast. There are also marked trails through dunes and old pine stands that skirt Western Lake. Cassine Gardens has a cypress swamp trail that joins paths meandering through Point Washington State Park. Scenic 30-A is home to the famous Seaside walking neighborhood of pastel beach cottages. Year round Seaside conducts activities geared to the family from arts & crafts, live entertainment, nature lectures and movies. All along the Scenic 30-A corridor you will find art galleries, boutiques, world class restaurants, delis, health & organic food eateries as well as beach related rental shops. But our beaches are the real magnet for our area. Less crowded, more pristine, more laid back. Welcome to the Beaches of South Walton!

Destin Destin
Destin is everything a family could want in a vacation destination. No wonder it has been voted the best beach in the South and top family destination four years running by Southern Living Magazine readers. Famous for its sugar white sands and emerald waters, Destin is a beachgoers delight. Here, visitors are right in the middle of everything: fun attractions for the children, the area's widest selection of restaurants, shopping that includes everything from gallery and art boutiques to high fashion shops, antique malls and the nation's largest designer outlet mall. With its top-ranked golf courses, large charter fishing fleet and bountiful gulf waters, Destin is a sportsman's paradise. Golfers will find 14 public and semi-public golf courses within close driving distance. Destin Harbor awaits those who love water sports. Here, visitors have easy access to watercraft rentals and fishing, snorkeling, and diving charters. Destin Harbor also is the place to be in the late afternoon. Watch the boats unload the day's catch, savor dinner at any number of fine restaurants or casual eateries and watch the sun set over East Pass and the jetties.

Navarre Navarre
Navarre Beach is one of Florida's best kept secrets. As you cross the bridge to Navarre, the island's beaches stretch before you welcoming you to this unspoiled paradise. Surrounded by Santa Rosa Sound on its north, the Gulf of Mexico on its south and by federal land preserves to the east and west, Navarre is a small community located on Santa Rosa Island. Navarre Beach has been ranked one of the best in American for its sand quality, sunny days, gentle currents and clean, uncrowded atmosphere. The area is complete with everything needed for a great vacation: laid-back community, miles of pristine coastline, casual restaurants and quaint shops. Visitors enjoy the Nature Walk, a one-mile scenic trail along the sound with its Panhandle Butterfly House, and the Navarre fishing pier offers great, affordable fishing. While visitors enjoy the quiet atmosphere, they are only 14 miles from Pensacola Beach; 25 miles from Pensacola's Downtown Historic District; less that 18 miles from Fort Walton Beach and less than 28 miles from all of the activities in Destin.

Okaloosa Island Okaloosa Island
Okaloosa Island has been a favorite beach resort for nearly a century and it remains a family favorite today. The pristine white sands and clear emerald waters are as beautiful today as they were one-hundred years ago when visitors stayed in town and took row boats across Santa Rosa Sound to Okaloosa Island and the beach. Today you can stay right on the beach and enjoy the many restuarants and nightlife the island offers. Just across Brooks Bridge is the city of Fort Walton Beach, where you can shop the quaint downtown district, visit the Indian Temple Mound, and ancient Native American temple mound and museum of artifacts, or take the Downtown Historical Walking Tour, a self-guided tour that begins when you pick up a brochure at the Chamber of Commerce. In Fort Walton Beach, you will find Eglin Air Force Base, one of the world's largest, and its Air Force Armament Museum. Just seven miles away - a short scenic drive through a portion of Gulf Islands National Seashore - is Destin, where you'll find more shopping, restaurants and nightlife.
